Sneak Peak of new work coming, this work was created during my artist-in-residence (AIR) program at KPS Studios in Athens this year
The work I created in Athens builds upon my previous work at AGA, but I aimed to explore a more abstract version of my style, marking a departure from my earlier figurative approach. This transition was significant, as it allowed me to delve into new artistic territories and challenge my creative boundaries.
I transformed the standing figure into a more disjointed visual style by emphasising the grid and block elements of the pixelated figure. As the residency progressed, I experimented with various screen meshes for each layer, utilizing different bitmap ratios and sizes, often mixing these to create hybrid prints.
