Brian Giles is an Irish printmaker and graphic designer with an honors degree in Graphic Design from the Institute of Art, Design, and Technology (IADT) in Dun Laoghaire. With over seven years of experience in print studios, they have worked both as an artist and in administrative roles. Their background includes a strong track record of engaging with customers and the public, along with an in-depth understanding of print processes, editions, and various printmaking techniques.

For five years, Giles worked as a full-time artist at Dublin's Damn Fine Print and is currently a member of Ireland's prestigious Black Church Print Studio, Print Club London, and AGA Lab in Amsterdam. Their administrative skills are well-developed, with proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). In addition to working as a full-time print artist, they have extensive experience in social media management and are highly skilled in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Giles has curated and organized numerous exhibitions, including solo and group shows, gaining experience in installation, handling printed materials, and art packing, along with a solid understanding of the framing process. Over the past two years, they have developed and conducted screen printing workshops for Pinterest, engaging with the public, teaching printing techniques, and creating designs based on specific briefs. These experiences have further strengthened their communication and interpersonal skills, as well as their ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.

Giles has also participated in several artist residencies, completing residencies at Print Club London in 2023 and AGA Lab in Amsterdam in 2024, where they developed new bodies of work and explored new styles and techniques. In the coming year, they will return to AGA Lab for another residency in November and December.
